What Is a MINT Lift?

The MINT PDO Thread Lift (minimally invasive nonsurgical thread) is a unique absorbable thread designed to approximate and fixate sagging tissues. These sutures, originally developed for orthopedic and cardiovascular surgeries have been used for over 30 years. There are tiny barbs strategically placed and molded all around the thread. Once the threads are placed into the skin, the barbs anchor onto sagging tissue and the thread can be maneuvered, which may help firm and tighten the skin to achieve the desired results. This procedure is performed using local anesthesia (numbing) to ensure your comfort.

MINT Lift Procedure

During the procedure, MINT PDO Threads are injected into the treatment areas, similar to dermal fillers, and are performed using local anesthesia. There are no incisions involved in this procedure, though a small poke is needed to insert the threads into the skin. MINT threads are inserted parallel to the surface of the skin. Once inserted, the thread will remain in place to lift tissues for up to 12 months.
