What Makes Our Program Unique?
Our safe, physician-monitored program focuses not only on weight loss but also on building muscle. We use the latest and most advanced device, EMSCULPT Neo®, to assist with muscle building.
What Is EMSCULPT Neo?
EMSCULPT Neo is the first device to help you build muscle and sculpt your body. Its high-intensity electromagnetic therapy and radiofrequency energy can build muscles and help generate new muscle fibers. The FDA cleared EMSCULPT Neo to treat the following areas:
- Abdomen
- Buttocks
- Arms
- Calves
- Thighs
MRI studies show patients have more muscle (on average 25%) and less fat (on average 30%) after 6 months of treatment.
What Is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide is an injectable medication that helps regulate appetite and food intake. It is a human-based glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. Semaglutide is prescribed as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for chronic weight management in adults with an initial body mass index (BMI) that is considered outside a healthy range.
Why Combine EMSCULPT With Semaglutide?
Our medical weight loss program combines EMSCULPT with semaglutide to enhance overall body transformation results. Semaglutide aids in weight loss by regulating appetite, while EMSCULPT uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to build muscle and sculpt the body. This combination can help you lose fat and gain muscle simultaneously.
What Is Our Program?
The Réviance medical weight loss program is a comprehensive approach to weight management that combines semaglutide injections with EMSCULPT treatments. Patients will follow a structured plan that includes a reduced-calorie diet, regular physical activity, and scheduled EMSCULPT sessions. This holistic approach aims to optimize weight loss and body contouring results.
What Is a Compounded Medication?
A compounded medication is a custom-made medication prepared by a pharmacist according to a doctor’s prescription. It is tailored to meet the specific needs of an individual patient, which may not be met by commercially available medications. The FDA allows the compounding of a medication when there is a shortage; currently, semaglutide is allowed to be compounded. While the compounding process is FDA approved and the compounding facility we use is regulated by the FDA, the actual compounded medication is not FDA approved.
How Much Weight Can I Expect To Lose?
The amount of weight loss varies among individuals. Clinical studies have shown that patients using semaglutide, along with lifestyle modifications, can lose a significant percentage of their initial body weight. On average, patients may expect to lose between 5 and 20% of their body weight over several months.
How Long Does It Take To Work?
Semaglutide starts working shortly after the first dose, but noticeable weight loss typically occurs within a few weeks to a few months. The full effect is generally seen after several months of consistent use, combined with dietary and lifestyle changes.
How Is Semaglutide Administered and How Often?
Semaglutide is administered via a subcutaneous injection, usually once a week. The injection can be given in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Your healthcare provider will guide you on the correct technique for self-administration, or you can come into the clinic for injections.
Are There Any Side Effects?
Yes, semaglutide has potential side effects, which commonly include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, headache, fatigue, dyspepsia, dizziness, abdominal distension, belching, hypoglycemia, flatulence, gastroenteritis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Injection site reactions, such as itching and burning, may also occur. Severe allergic reactions are rare but require immediate medical attention.
Who Is a Candidate?
Candidates for semaglutide treatment are adults with a BMI considered outside a healthy range (a BMI greater than or equal to 30 or a BMI greater than or equal to 27 plus an associated condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or obstructive sleep apnea) who have not been able to achieve and maintain weight loss through diet and exercise alone. It is not recommended for individuals with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2, pancreatitis, or severe allergic reactions to GLP-1 agonists. Pregnant women and individuals with certain medical conditions or taking specific medications should consult their healthcare provider before starting semaglutide.
